Formula Explanation
Battery capacity can be expressed in charge units (mAh, Ah) or energy units (Wh, J). The conversion depends on the battery voltage:
Ah = mAh / 1000
Wh = Ah × V
J = Wh × 3600
Where:
- V — Battery nominal voltage (V)
- 1 Ah = 1000 mAh
- 1 Wh = 3600 J
Example: 3000 mAh at 3.7 V → 3.0 Ah, 11.1 Wh, 39,960 J
